At my university house I organised the internet, in which I went with Bethere on their 8meg package. We've had it almost two weeks now and from the first connection we've had problems with drop outs etc in the connection. At first I thought it was just the connection accessing the fastest connection and so left it for a week before thinking more about it, but now its got to the stage where the other 7 housemates are getting annoyed at me thinking its my fault.
We're using the bebox and whenever the box disconnects, when looking at the bebox config page it shows the DHCP is being contacted, but it then takes about 3-4 minutes to reconnect.

Line statistics:

Really don't know what to do
any help would be greatly appreciated

I notice from your stats that in under 10mins you have uploaded 32.54meg, which is an average of nearly 60k/sec since it came online. That makes me wonder whether anyone is using a P2P app, some routers get flooded out by large number of connections.

Yeah, the torrent thats running is me, and has only been running for 1 hr and so IS not the reason for the drop outs

I've just been onto the forums and it seems many people are having the same issues, seems to be uniquely the people on Dynamic IP's suggesting its the DHCP server at fault.

I didnt even bother with the BeBox, just plugged my DG834N straight in and after tweaking the SNR a bit im getting a stable 18mbit downstream and the full 1.5mbit upstream.

Have a read around the Be forums, there are quite a lot of people on there that will be able to help you get the best from the Bebox if you want to keep using it.

Just so you know Be are not like BT in the way they assess the speed of your line, it just goes with what it gets, there are no "IP Profiles" your sync speed is what you will get.
