I'm stuck trying to decide which is better for just over £700.

PC1 (My favorite for upgrade-ability):

Core i5 @ 2.66Ghz (Comes Stock)
4Gb Corsair DDR3 @ 1600Mhz
320Gb Hard Drive (Don't use a lot!)
512mb HD4850 (Soon to be a 2GB HD 4890)
650W Powercool 80+
20x Dual Layer DVD RW
On the Asus P7P55D Board in a NZXT Beta case.

OR PC 2:

Phenom II 955 @ 3.52Ghz
6GB Crucial DDR2 @ 800Mhz
500Gb Hard Drive
2GB GTX 285 :)
850W PSU
20x DVD RW Drive
On the Asus M3N72_D Board in the CM Elite 300 Case.

Which ones better value?
Any feedback helps :)

If they both cost the same, then PC2 will be the better performing (mainly due to the GPU), but if you are getting a new PC from scratch then I suggest building it yourself. Then you can get exactly what you want and it will cost you less.

They are both for gaming.

For PC2, changes for the same prices are:

A HD4890 and Gigabyte GA-MA790-UD4H board and with 8GB ram instead of 6GB.

Thats all in the saving with the 4890 over GTX 285
