BFG 7300GT Underperforrming. HELP

These are my results from 3DMark06, and been told I should have much better results with my pc spec and its my gfx that is underperforming. Do you agree?Lastest drivers were updated yesterday.

P4 D 2.8Ghz
3gb OCZ ram 667mhz (2gb is 800mhz but only runs at 667 as thats what the other 1gb runs at)
BFG 256mb 7300gt
Asus mobo

Bikerz, there's been a misunderstanding I think, I said it was underperforming, your sig says it's a 7600GT and I expected you had that, if that's a 7300 GT indeed then it's performing ok and that's definatly the weakest point in your system ( as a reply to your original question), and that needs upgrading first.
I really didn't know you had a 7300GT.

Pc wil be upgraded with new mobo, cpu, cooling and gfx card in 2/3 weeks

Try some game tests maybe? 3DMark isn't representative of real world performance.

SR4470, Do you really think a cpu about the speed of an athlon xp 3200+ in single core apps and a core 2 duo 1.4 ghz in dual core apps is more of a slowdown than a card similar to a 6600GT, just about 45% faster than a 9800pro (and 2x slower than a 7600GT, 4x slower than a x1950 and about 7 times slower than an 8800)?

I mean that card...
Even with a Q6600 @ 5ghz you would still get lag in most modern games.

While my mate with a P4 3.06 ghz ( wich is a poorer cpu than the OP's) and a 7800GTO can play anything he has on high or maxed still ( Bioshock for example ).

Try supreme commander, then say it's purely graphical

Truthfully though, upgrade your gfx card as 1st priority, then think about the move to c2d

Supcom is fine on his pc aslong as he sticks to below approx. 2000 total units ( or 2 full players, or 4 players with just 500 units).
Bikerz's cpu is a dual core cpu, wich would mean in theory he should be able to handle even more units.

Supreme comander runs pretty welll on my system, cant run motogp 2007 or medal of houner airbourn that well tho which is the real reason I need a better setup. Il see how much cash i got spare in a week or so and get you guys to spec me a mobo, cpu and a new gfx
