Some people have too much money and should donate some to lesser folk like me in order to purchase said screens and cards. :D

Trust me, the 30" screen whilst nice has been a problem purchase in many ways. My 2 7900GTX's in SLI really struggle at the native res, there's the Dell 3007/SLI 9x.xx driver corruption bug and of course you have to spend a ludicrous amount of money on the hardware to drive it.

That said its still a great screen and I guess finally we're moving into an era where 2560x1600 will become acceptable for 3D.

Hey guys,

EVGA can not talk about unannounced products or programs related to these products before a product is officially launched. EVGA has always stood behind the step-up program and will always support this program. Please remember that products at launch are always in limited quantity and on a first come first serve basis.

Also, some have asked what happens to the returned cards from the step-up program, these products undergo complete and thorough testing and then are resold as recertified products; for example here is our 256-P2-N528-RX GeForce 7800GTX 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card. Also, here is how they are packaged, these products are packaged in a brown box as seen in this link.

As of now, all the step-up requests have been processed.

Thank you,

Jacob Freeman

Perhaps it is wise to wait a few weeks and things will be taken care of.

Ocuk I dare ya..... come on I know u want too it could be bliss

Assuming the image has not been stretched, I have very roughly extrapolated the length of the 8800GTX PCB by measuring a standard PCI-E connector with a tape measure and converting that measurement to pixels and back again through Photoshop.

10.5" long should be accurate barring stretching and my own margin for error.

oooft, longer than a conger

however the vertical positioning of the pci-e connector sockets is very favourable

(considering that the horizontal orientation of the connector on say a X1900 always makes things slightly more awkward in terms of the GPU's length when it's connected)

£500 for a card when there's no DX10 titles available for awhile yet = madness

i'm sure there'll be no shortage of punters for it though :)

Don't you start.

Its faster in DX 9 games just like any new gen card.

SLI/Xfire performance in a single card

Again, you people need to realise it's NOT JUST FOR DX10!!!
It will give some of us a single card solution rather than SLI'ing two 7900's for example.

Also I think Flight Sim X is at least one good reason
Hey, it runs like crap on my current PC, and my pc is almost top of the line >_<

Yes and no, it all depends on how much faster the card is with current titles, if it means you can run at 2560*1600 with 8xAA/16xHQAF instead of 4xAA/8xAF I guess it will still be worthwhile to get it instead of a GX2 (for a select few peeps that can afford it)

marscay ducks for cover :D

all good points, 500 notes is still madness though.....i read a few weeks back this card was coming in @ much cheaper than this  not that i really believed it heh

Hi there

I've just measured one of the BFG GTX cards and its 275mm in length, so you guys gotta make sure it can fit in your case.
