BFG nForce 680i (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard - £176.24.

Good Price!

Gibbo if you are around when does this offer end as i only noticed it pop up today?

LOL! Ordering mine tomorrow gonna have to make a dash for the bank though put the nessesary funds in of course. Well if the BFG runs out gonna have to be the MSI, BFG is the one i want the most though.

Looking to order this today heard some good reviews and comments about this motherboard looking forward to getting it.

Perhaps nVidia nForce 650i Chipset for the budget side that has quad core support and SLi or if you got the money go for the nVidia nForce 680i for future proofing.

Either one should do you fine.

All the NForce6 boards use the same C55 Northbridge, which is why the 650i boards clock just as well as the 680i boards. Unfortunately - they also suffer from the 312MHz issue as well :(

So would an i975P board still be the best bet? Are there still hacked drivers to enable SLI?
Would love to get a board with decent Quad support and the option of SLI :(

Get the nForce 680i, as the hacked drivers are pretty old now and was only used with the 7800 or 7900 GTX cards if i can remember. If your looking for quad and the future use of SLi then this is the right choice for you.

Cool, is the MSI P6N any good? At some places its around £20 cheaper than the BFG/EVGA. If I understand correctly it should just be another reference board with a reference-type bios?

Exactly the same as BFG/ECS/EVGA/BIOSTAR etc. EVGA/BFG offer the best warranty but they are all the same and come of the same production lines.

Go with what ever is cheapest on the day.

Gibbo, I got this on wednesday at the old price, any chance you could credit me with the difference please?

Worth a shot IMHO...

Did you buy on a credit card as they quite often have insurance against a price dropping inside 30 days.

How you finding the BFG, good package - etc?

My PC is almost fully built, but I had to RMA the front of my P180 case (with the on and reset buttons) as it was cracked - and the Royal Mail have just pushed a card through the door saying no-one was in when they delivered (even though my wife was!) - so it'll be the weekend before I can tell you anything useful!

As for the package, I have a very nice quality BFG T-shirt, Tom Clancy ghost recon game, every possible connector I could ever possible want (IDE, SATA, SLi Bridge, etc), good manual, drivers disk and a little note telling me to update the BIOS!
