Hi,

Basically I've moved into a new apartment and the gym has the following equipment:

-Seated chest press
- Pec dec
- Shoulder press
- Leg curl
- lying hamstring curl
- row machine
- lateral pulldown

now, I've been going through the following everyday for the last 2 weeks but I really feel i need to do a few isolation excersizes, I dont want to join a gym at the moment because when i start college in 4 weeks ill have access to the best gym in America (according to sports illustrated)

Is there anything i can do with those machines to do my biceps or calfs?

Do you have any free weights there? What is/would the rest of your routine look like?

I'm not totally sure of the validity of this exercise but thinking of the range of motion in the lat pulldown, could you perhaps do it with a close grip, palms facing into the body and pull in? Working through the motion it appears to me that it may be roughly equivalent to a more horizontal bicep curl although with much less of a range of motion.

Wait for one of the resident gurus to confirm this though. :)

It seems the equipment there is limited. I suggest buying a set of dumb-bells with adjustable weights. If you have the inclination and the room, a bench and barbell would be a very good idea.

The sheer volume of excercises you can do with the above is staggering.
