The fitness side is fine, but i find the back wheel doesnt grip well enough and I just end up having to put my foot down. Too much weight over the front and I go no where.
Sounds like you're in a too high gear.
It'll come with fitness but I always climb in the middle ring because it offers enough power and traction when you need to burst up and over rocks.

Head tube length 153mm
Conventional headset stack height c20mm
stem height c40mm
steerer spacing in situ -3mm
Minimum steerer tube length = 216mm

simples :)
Thanks :)

Picked this up today. Mainly for cycling to work ~19 miles each way which is pretty much all on the cycle network on and off road. Not sure whther to leave the knobblies on or save them for winter...? Can't ride it yet till my M087s turn up.

was that at full 1080p resolution then?
Reason I ask is because I just bought a GoPro HD Hero with 1080P @ 30FPS and 720P @ 60FPS. Reason I got this over the contour HD I have is because the Gopro can take stills and I can take it when I go surfing too :)

edit: anyone for a contour HD going cheap? £100inc!!!

might want to remove the GPS tagging on your pictures as it shows you the house you took the pictures at - i presume yours!

Well, not really but close enough :D

Took it off now anyway, ta.

Edit: Just checked the map and it isn't anywhere near my house, unless I am doing it wrong!

No, it was 720p. I don't think there is a camera available that does full 1080p at 60fps, yet.

My jumping is improving loads! Watching Fluidride and various Youtube videos for tips etc
It's strange....it's almost counter intuative at first, the way you have to shift your body weight round while in the air (or rather being in the correct position when taking off etc)
Once you "get it" it all just falls into place. Even managed a Whip or two

This was at a local jump park. Putting it into practice on the trails is another matter I guess

What comes with it - how old?

2 Goggle mounts. The standard flat surface mount I don't trust, so use the goggle mount as my flat surface mount. This one is a warranty replacement and has about 6 months occasional use, if that (i guess it's been used 4 times in that time)

Nice one, you better get us some pics!

I will do :) Although I do warn you, I'm rocking not only a Lime Green On One 456 SS, but also a Lime Green Urge Endur-o Matic lid! The photos will come with a warning

I'll be at Laggan a week on Monday with a mate, so will be sure to get plenty pics

In the process of trying to build my confidence on more technical stuff and currently on my local route I'm using to build fitness I have quite a steep ish set of wood/dirt steps. The top few are easy enough but as the go down some have quite big drops.

Any tips for how to tackle them?

Dont look at t the obstacles right in front of you, keep your chin up, bend your arms and point your elbows out and up (try and over exaggerate this as you tend to always point them out less than you think), let your brakes go (but if you have to brake, only use your back), dig your heels into your pedals, hang towards the rear of the bike, but not too far

Simples

edit: oh, almost forgot the most important bit. Be "loose" and don't be rigid on the bike, just hang on ever so slight and let the bike do the work, your body should just follow. Do not tense up!
