Big ol' Burger Comparison Thread

Went to Almost Famous Liverpool yesterday for my hangover cure. Triple Nom (Pulled Pork, two beef patties, cheese, coleslaw and bbq sauce) with Bacon Bacon Fries (Fries, baconnaise and those bacon sprinkles you get on salad). It's up there with the best as the burgers are really beefy and juicy, sourced from a local butcher in Manchester, but you need a bath after the whole experience.

Hangover disappeared shortly after too :)

Met some friends in Manchester today and went to Solita (www.solita.co.uk). I had the 'once in a lifetime' burger: (not my pic but looked the same)

Pulled pork, buttermilk fried chicken breast, burger patty, onion rings, slaw, BBQ sauce. It was damn fine but pointless being in a bun. Beef patties were as good as anything I have had in the UK.

Had a pit burger at Liverpool Reds True BBQ the other week. One of the best tasting patties I've had in a LONG time. Slightly over cooked and vastly overshadowed by the excessive toppings (Brisket, Pulled Pork, Smoked Peppered Bacon, Cheese, Sauces, Lettuce, Pickle) but eating a bit of the patty on it's own gave an indication of the quality.

Will be going back for a regular cheese and bacon burger as I bet it's spot on. The ribs and jalapeño smoked sausage were good too!

To quote myself from earlier in the thread...

Maybe they didn't care because it was the one outside Victoria so they don't have to think about customer loyalty/repeat custom but I find it hard to believe they'd be that different across branches???

Gotta double up at Shake Shack and add bacon. Double shack burger with bacon is pretty good as it goes for fast burgers. I prefer it to In and Out Burger but the price of In and Out is about a third of Shake Shack. Double Double Animal Style is my go to In and Out order. Five Guys is not worthy of being in the same breath as those two, chips are good though.
