Big Setback on my idea of watercool my gpus.. =/

as other posted, take pics of the board without the cooler, one from the top and one from the side. you can than email EK the pics and they will tell you if it will fit or not. i checked on the site before buying the block and even if it did say it was ok, turned out not fitting. After i sent them an email with the pics they checked properly and confirmed the block didn't fit so i was able to send it back. EK to apologise for the mistake on the site sent me a tshirt ;)

no haribo? :)

Any ETA on when your going to get these? Interested myself..... At least you did actually get a response and help from the manf

you can link to the cooling configurator.

you are ok to link to the EK store if you are pointing out a product for me to stock in the product suggestion forum but we do politely ask to refrain from posting shop links.

ek have two websites
http://www.ekwaterblocks.com is their homepage and news articles etc are ok to belinked.
the /shop extension is not ok.

Got an answer from Ek where they say, " Dear Patrick,

As you can see, the GV-R797OC-3GD is a variant of a reference PCB, shares the same identical PCB apart from the different heatsink. I believe this is what Gigabyte wanted to say really." they also sent a picture of my card stripped so i could see the heatsink. I should be fine using Ek blocks! :)

Great news mate! Nothing worse than being in limbo! I was afraid of a raised capacitor issue which turned out to be ok because I bought my blocks ages ago.

Don't forget to post some pics :D would love to see the layout and also the block fitted, ... assuming blue PCB
