Anyone using these? Just had an email from Wex to say they're in stock. As they're notoriously hard to get hold of one on a whim, I've bought one. Come payday on Monday, I'll buy a mount :D

Just thought I'd mention it as when I first started browsing these forums, there were a lot of people doing long exposure photography. Anyone still doing any? Seems to me that the weather will slowly start turning nicer (in theory) so I'll have more chance to get some generic river/waterfall photos in during summer when I'm off in July :)

I've always wanted to do it, but the expense put me off. Currently I'm trying to find something of interest to do, so this is cheaper than splashing out on the Canon 100mm macro lens :D

Ah yes, I remember this being mentioned a while ago. Looks really nice that. I just need to find a decent location. I know of one area, but need to time it so it's sans chav.

I've got a Sigma 105, which is a great little lens, but I really like the colour reproduction on the Canon lens. Realistically though, I should upgrade my 12-24 to the newer, sharper one. That being said, I might get a 10-20 or some other wide angle lens for long exposure landscapes. I've got a few things I need to purchase, and and losing my marbles trying to figure out what to get.

I NEED a flash as my mate has just got a good group of lads together for a new band, and I want to try some gig photography. Not sure what to get, and the new flashes seem extremely expensive, so may stick to the 580 to keep price down.

I still haven't got a tripod upgrade that I've been putting off for years, despite asking here and other places for advice, as I always find something else I need more, and make do with my old Sherpa. I could really do with a decent one with a good head that can be used for landscape as the one I have vibrates in slight wind.

I also need a Strat guitar as I sold my old one as it annoyed me :D

I seem to have lots of ideas at once, all messing up my forward drive!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. My trouble is, I tend to buy things with a look to the future, so getting the 430 I know I'd just compare to the 580 and think, "do I really want to risk realising I need more from it in future, and buying twice?". I over think things at the best of times :D

Yeah, I thought it'd be appreciated. I wanted one when I first started out with my 300D, but after I bought the 12-24 I realised I couldn't use one because of the rear mount, etc :D

Just need to splash out £114 on Monday when I get paid, for the mount.

I got the big stopper no problems, just ordered the holder and adapter now I've been paid. Annoyingly I'm working overtime all next week, so I'll have to wait to use it until at least next weekend!
