Biggest Aquarium in UK

ive just recieved a back dated marine fish magazine from jan/feb and it says the plymouth aquarium suffered a power cut in the bad weather and lost over 200 fish, they have shut down a few tanks to redo them.

this was in november so it may all be sorted now.

We have now decided to have a weekend in Valencia during the Summer hols, bf loves aquariums and looking at it on web, plus the city itself, we've decided to give it a go. Not somewhere we'd have thought about before so thanks!

You will love it! i cant wait to go back this Oct with a much better camera, i can put some pics on here of oceanagrafic if anyone would like?

Its not cheap to get in £23 each IIRC but well worth every penny

Matt :D

Are you kidding?

The Deep was the biggest waste of money and the most boring aquarium I've ever been to in my life!

Looking at the same tank again and again as you walk round and round in a sprial - we were in and out within 40 mins and it took us 2 hours each way to get there. Sooooo disappointing.

Maybe try turning your head in another direction :). There are hundreds of minor tanks along with other sections (dark area with the octopus and spider crabs). You see the major tank around 5-6 times with the best view at the end with a great veriety of different large fish (sharks, rays etc). Easily the best I have been to so far and nicely laid out. Each to his own but cant see how you could think it was boring. If you like looking at fish then surely it cant dissapoint.... Maybe I just have low fish standards....
