Biggest waste of celluloid ever?

How not so?! i loved that film one of the better ones recently

All the film was, was artistically shot garbage.

Have seen both the normal and the special edition versions - both are complete garbage. I really considered ejecting the dvd and binning it..but as it was a mates disk I decided not to.

Not a Frank Miller fan then?

I've actually still to see it. Reading the novels though.

King Pin - pathetic
Transporter 2 - absurd
Alien vs Pred (such a complete slap in the face to all of the story built up in Pred and alien 1/2) awful

Those first two, fair enough.
But Equilibrium? I just don't see you can't like that film, it's probably one of my favourites!
Indeed, i thought equilibrium was good.
Cadillac Man, the ONLY film to ever make me leave the cinema before the end.

jeepers creepers was awful after the first 5-10 minutes and its sequel.........oh dear oh dear!!
another complete nifter: dreamcatcher. complete hokum from the start, though the "toilet seat" scene was hilarious :D

Sin City
Lord of the Rings trilogy

wow. just wow. 2 absolutely amazing films there O_o, LOTR is just an epic, and Sin City was done very well, nothing like anything else i've ever seen. It's a watch once only film though.

Tom.

in no order:

> xXx 1 & 2, first was better because of vin diesel but ice cube, what the hell!
> Cabin Fever - wtf - worst acting ever with a crappy storyline.
> Collateral Damage - so bad i dont even remember any of the film.

all i can think of at the mo.

As usual with these kind of threads, we're getting into personal opinion as opposed to films which are technically "bad". LotR is clearly not a bad film in the technical sense. Something like, say, Battlefield Earth may have many things that are poor - script, editing, effects, acting, etc, etc which make it truly a bad film. Of course somebody might love Battlefield Earth (fair enough) but that doesn't stop it being a bad film :)

Out of interest, here are the worst 100 films according to IMDb:
http://www.imdb.com/chart/bottom

I just thought of another film that is horribly bad; it's called Samhain, a friend brought it round on a random movie night, didn't say anything about it.
It comes on and the credits start up with the following names;

Ginger Lynn Allen
Chasey Lain
Taylor Hayes
Jenna Jameson

Everyone must recognise at least 2 names on that list so you can imagine what I was expecting.
How Disappointing!!

There were literally only 2 skin scenes in the film, and there is a reason the above "actresses" star in the kind of films they do, and it's not for their acting talents. I can only hope sharing this saves someone else from a similar 90 minute fate.

I recognise all 4. The Sale of Goods act is very big on mis-selling!
