This will be my first time doing planes on sunday so I wanted a few tips. My cam has 12x zoom so consiering I expect to use that a fair bit and due to the speed of the planes I guess tripods arent the best way to go? Therefore what sort of shutter should I be looking at to reduce camera shake? Also I would like to show some propellor motion on the bi-planes, what shutter speed should I be lookin at for that and will it be too slow for me to handhold?

cheers for the tips - didnt realise panning meant you could use that slow shutter speed I would have been going home with still propellers otherwise

another question aperture wise is it best to shoot in shutter priority or will f2.8 or there abouts be sufficient for this?
