Bike mountable video camera?

I'm pondering getting a little video camera that I can stick on my bike - looking for something that can record a few hours before needing to recharge or have its memory card swopped as intending to use it on a trip through France rather than for quick blats.

Any recommendations?

I've been looking for something similar but more so to use when riding for evidence purposes should I find myself in a collision that's not my fault.

I've settled on this, but haven't clicked the buy button yet:

Over the other bullet cameras on their site if gives:

More recording time and the option to fit spare batteries, rather than a built in rechargable only.
High quality,
Higher FPS and also alows goes up to 60FPS for slow motion replay.
Laser allignment
Other variable adjustable bits.
Option to fit your own Micro SD card up to 16 or 32gb can't remember which.

Also comes with a few mounts but there are other accesories for it at the bottom including a waterproof casing, windscreen mount for a car, or should you wish to mount it on the screen of your bike, carry case, mains charger etc.

The others come in much cheaper around half the price but as with most electronics you get what you pay for.

It was a toss up between this and the 'GoPro'. The GoPro is more of a traditional what I'd call 'camera' design where as this is more of a 'cam-corder design' so won't stick out a mile from a helmet so you'll like less of a plank. Not to mention it's around the same size as an iPhone, a little smaller but obviously thicker.

While the ContourHD and GoPro are great, I'm not sure that either give the two most important things of what I'd want on a bike:

1) Retain waterproofing while having it plugged into charging / power socket
2) Rolling recording, where only the last x minutes are kept and it just overwrites anything older when the card is full.

(1) is so that I don't have to arse about with batteries, but can still ride it in the pouring rain, and (2) is because I don't want to keep a recording of every ride, just those where someone does something stupid.

We've had some of the VIO POV units at work for a separate project, and they do seem to do all of the above. Not cheap though.

That said, something that integrates GPS / mapping at the same time would be extra awesome.

I bought a couple of keyring cams from an auction site for 7 quid. They're about the size of a 50p piece. The quality and durabilty is startling for the cost. They take Micro SD and a charge lasts a long time. Apparently they are just the camera chip/electronics from some mobile phone.

linky?

Yeah, I'm after a camera for a nice bimble through france, something where I won't cry if I get to a petrol station and see it's fallen off the bike or been taken out by a speeding bumblebee *1 or something.

*1 Those things hurt when they hit you going the otherway.
