Hi

As this was the first bike accident I've been involved in I need a bit of advice.

The basic history is that someone pulled out on me from a side road. My insurance company collecte my bike and passed the claim on to the company who manage their claims. The other party admitted liability and the bike was inspected by the other party insurers.

I've now had a letter from the other insurers saying they value the bike at £x and they will pay be £x and return the bike back to me as well.

They also said in the letter they won't pay any storage charges after 7 days from the date of the letter.

Should they have contacted the company who are dealing with my claim?

I feel that the what they valued my bike at is low. Do I just call them other parties insurers and say I'm not happy with the offer so should my claims company deal with it?

How do I show the that my bike is worth more in my opinion?

Can I see the inspection report?

I forgot to mention that the claims company did provide me with a hire bike which I returned after a couple of weeks as I wasn't really using it and it had a £600 excess.

The other insurers don't know I have returned the hire bike.

I will speak to my claims company in the morning.

Thinking about it I will just sell the salvage complete on Ebay.
