Everyone has that little carbon hoe inside of them.

p.s. just read that back to myself loool :p You know what I meant! :D :p
:D

So apparently the 8th gen (2014) slip on fits straight onto the 5th gen (1998-2001) bike, which opens up a worls of slips ons...

Including an SC project conic, of which there's one currently on ebay. Must. resist...:o:p

You bought three - now that's just greedy :D:p

I knew it would come to buying a garage and not a house. Open plan with a camping stove, a bed and room for 10 + bikes :D

edit:

This belongs to the guy that runs the Southampton bike night. I've asked him and he can't remember what exhaust it is...but it's loud and roary and really suits the bike

I had to properly zoom in to see that!! :D

Looks pretty loud, looks like a delkovic or similar, they are cheap though.

Tpft so no kit cover if I bin it. This may have to change now I've realised it's almost what my bikes worth.

That's roughly what it would cost me to buy it all again at full price, most of it has been picked up with some discount here and there.

I'd imagine most of us are in a a similar position. Mine would be like for like:

- £500 Helmet and visor
- £290 jacket
- £170 jeans
- £110 gloves
- £140 boots

I think my gear cover is £1,500. Probably worth a check though, so good reminder, thanks!

I've just had a quick look and all the places I've found doing separate gear policies only seem to cover up to 1k at the most. Seems low considering that's a single piece of kit for some.

- £200 Lid
- £180 Jacket
- £50 Kevlar Jeans (The ones that saved my ass on the 50mph slide)
- £60 Gloves
- £230 Boots
- £330 2 Piece Leathers

Most of my gear, apart from shoei lid and leathers is beat up though... :p

Edit

MT07's have dropped in price a fair bit since last year, I wonder if the CBR650F's will start dropping, they seem to hold their value pretty well.

The actual underwriter will vary all the time but the broker is who you actually deal with when it comes to actually doing anything on your policy. Underwriters don't deal with the general public.

Depends. I dealt with a company called Biker Legal Defence for my entire claim when I was knocked off, BikeSure didn't have much to do with it. I suppose I could have left BikeSure to deal with it and keep me up to date, but I would have been waiting a lot longer and not got stuff like helmet replaced (which they did without kit cover and for no excess somehow) and a courtesy bike.

Maybe I got lucky, but the guy dealing with my claim, from BLD, would respond to emails within hours (sometimes minutes) and was really good throughout the whole thing. I think he's the one that managed to talk the driver's insurance in to covering my helmet etc.

If the other party is at fault there should be no question in getting any damaged kit replaced by their insurer whether you have kit cover on your policy or not surely?
