Found a nice hidden spot, haven't seen it before. :)

Anyone know what might cause brakes to go spongy after sitting overnight?

It's almost like the pistons are retracting overnight, so in the morning on my first pull it'll spongy, like they're going back in place, then after that they're fine.

It happens when the bike just sits, so isn't warped disc or anything.

I'm going to bleed next weekend anyway, but thought I'd ask in the meantime if it could be anything else.

Been looking for a 125. Torn between a aprilia rs4 and the Yamaha yzf. Both are similar in price but just not sure.
Get an Supermoto, trust me... you'll have more fun. I regret buying the duke instead of the WR125

The Aprilia has crap tyres as standard but they're much more special than the YZF, which are common as Mondeos. Parts & servicing for the Yam will obviously be a massive advantage over the Aprilia, but as there's not really much to go wrong with these little 125s, the looks of the Aprilia might outweigh the inconvenience. The YZF also looks inflatedly large to me, the tail looks like it's been stretched way past what is required simply to look bigger (the 125 is bigger than the R6).

What is the purpose of the bike? To hang out and show off with your mates at Maccy Ds and ride around looking phat? If so, either of these two will do. If you intend to use the bike for actual countryside rides and longer journies, get something more comfortable. The CBR 125 is a bit less powerful than these two but also considerably cheaper (to buy, run and maintain) and much more comfortable.

Personally I'm with IC3. You're not going to be setting lap records on a 125, they're all the same crap lawnmower engines, so don't buy something that writes cheques it can't cash. Get a Supermoto instead. Looks fun, is fun. Nothing to prove.

And don't even think about buying a new 125. You may as well take half the RRP and burn it.

Seen this ages ago, that corner looks sweet. Does anyone know what track it is? I've a feeling its somewhere in the US, I think Motorcyclist Magazine did an episode on that track. It looked very familiar...

P.s. I'm crap at leaning to my left, so need to work on that! :p

Should have an MT-07 or MT-09 by Sunday!

Local dealer have got an MT-09 Street Rally with Ohlins in, a touch higher than what I wanted to pay but still a somewhat reasonable price.

There's an MT-07 which is about 2 hours 30 from me and would mean me needing to bring somebody to get me there etc but is the more favourable of the two currently just due to value.

How many people carry some form of tool kit on their bike be it the OEM or a couple of spanners they've thrown together?

As someone who rode a 2 stroke moped with over 20bhp, I always had half a Halfords branch of tools under the seat. It became second nature because the thing was as reliable as a Hungarian Hooker. This has baked in to me permanently so I'll always have a few screwdrivers, adjustable spanners and mole grips on me.

Which moped did you have that had 20bhp ?

We have a small oxford tool kit that my dad got free with his shoei helmet, it's pretty decent, got everything you could need for quick fixes while on the road.
