Tuono v4 going to feel quicker than an s1000r? I know they have the same BHP (roughly) but slightly different torque rating, being a v4 vs il4.

Isn't Tuono more aggressive? S1000R from the sounds of it sounds like its just another smooth IL4, not as brutal as the Tuono. :D

Can anyone else see the point in an exhaust clamp with a stainless steel band but a mild steel bolt!?

Just replaced the two on mine with marine clamps so everything is stainless after noticing that the band's looked fine but the bolts were so rusted there was only one pair of flats I could actually get a spanner on to undo them, the rest of the faces were so deformed the spanner just laughed at me.

That's the only bit of rust gone from the bike now. Not bad for a 12 year old Suzuki that lives outside and gets ridden all year round.

Fast Bikes magazine are currently doing their dyno runs at JHS Racing for SBOTY 2017. Interesting results as the bikes are now Euro 4 compliant.

All bikes are completely stock 2017 models apart from the Yamaha that is running an Akrapovic end can, cats still remain.

At the wheel results so far..

Aprilia RSV4 180bhp 105nm
BMW S1000RR 179bhp 108nm
Yamaha R1M 176bhp 103nm
Suzuki GSXR 1000 171bhp 103nm
Kawasaki ZX10R 170bhp 99nm
Honda Fireblade CBR1000RR SP 160bhp 98nm

Aprilia claim 205bhp at the crank whereas Honda claim 178bhp at the crank. No surprise results there, when you factor in the 12-15% loss to the rear wheel.

Little tip, when you run out of your usual bike wash don't use some car shampoo with added wax that you found in the back of the shed.

Waxed brake discs make for interesting stopping first thing on a Monday morning.
