Hah - despite having the same engine as you, you're going to have to do a lot of persuading to convince everyone that even the BMW IL4 1000cc engine sounds better than a V4!

Ha I'm only kidding, I've heard an rsv4 with an sc can on and it's incredible, there is no better sound than an rsv4 flying past at triple figures!

I think I may have asked this in a previous thread, but I couldn't find it after some searching.

One of the very few plus points about having to work in Bristol occasionally, commuting from Ipswich, is that I'm then only around 2 1/2 hours from Fishguard. And from there I'm only a few hours on a ferry away from Ireland. I'd really like to ride the North Atlantic Way over a few days - has anyone done this and have any tips or experience they can share?

I've not done it but it's certainly something I'd like to do one day. Southern Ireland along with the Scottish highlands are two places I'd love to explore.

Got "stuck" behind an ambulance this morning, quite nice having a blue light escort into the office :o

There was a little questionable driving going on though, arrow straight bit of DC completely clear can see all the way down it until it ends at some lights and the ambo was drifting between the lanes eventually deciding to settle on the white lines in between the lanes.

I was stuck behind an ambulance on the motorway once, it was so tempting to overtake. But I just kept a safe distance behind it, are they restricted or something?

Most likely restricted to 65/70 mph due to size/weight, they are just vans kitted out inside.

Some of the ambos are lethal around here - they are just mad! Cutting people up, not giving room for the unprepared.

I once let one past on the bike, turned out it was going the way I was going, it didn't go above 55mph on an NSL road - It was VERY tempting to overtake (The principal!!) but I didn't.
Is it however, say if you was a complete **** chocolate, would it be legal to overtake one when on blues and too's?

I've been pondering what the **** means for a few minutes, and I still have no idea!

No idea if it is legal - not something I think I'd ever try though, as I don't imagine that they're spending much time looking in their mirrors.

That's 2 or 3 times in the last month or so I've either left my keys in the ignition and walked off or almost done it, old age must be setting in :(

This is why I've left my bike key on with my other keys. Yes, it's leaving some marks on the area around the ignition, but I know it would only be a matter of time before I left the bike key in the ignition. Harder for me to do when it's my main bunch of keys. (Although worse if I still did it I guess!)
