As title, what's the chain to buy at the moment? I need about 1.2m long with a protective shield and the budget is £100

Oxford seem to do some pretty big ones for around £50, 12mm links, but I heard some bad stories about their security. Local bike shop has one for £95 that looked pretty hardcore but I'm sure this stuff is cheaper online.

Looks like 16-19mm links is where it's at. I'd better go check if it's going to fit through the hole :D

Are you seriously going to chain that new car to a lamppost when you leave it places?

I'm afraid so. Someone had a go last night, don't know if it was ****** looking for stuff in the car or someone casing it out for a joyride, but I'm not taking the risk. It's got a battery cut-off but it's not enough because anyone could over-ride it or get a key off eBay.

Got a 12mm chain on loan from a neighbour, round the chassis and through one front wheel. If they get it started they can't drive off. I'll do the same but with a better chain that can't get cropped.

Almax EVERYTIME! If you ring them, and say you are a member of visordown (motorbike forum) they normally give an extra half a metre free, or a carry bag or some sort of upgrade or discount :)

Blew the budget out the water and went for a Series III. A 19mm chain won't actually fit through the spokes, which is lucky for my wallet :D
