I’m trying to update the BIOS on a Gigabyte P35 DQ6. The board came with the F4 BIOS so I flashed it to the latest version (F6) which seemed to be successful but if I change anything in the BIOS the PC goes into a continuous loop of restarting every time it reaches the POST and I don’t even get to see anything on screen. The only way to stop it is by physically resetting the CMOS using the jumpers.
By changing anything I mean even a small change such as setting the boot priority. In fact, if I go into the BIOS and just select save settings without changing anything it goes into a restart loop.
I then went back to the old BIOS (F4) and everything works as normal, so I tried the F5 BIOS thinking perhaps it might work better if I install the versions in order but still no luck. I even tried the F7b beta BIOS with no luck. The only BIOS that works is F4.
