I have an Asus A8n Sli Deluxe mobo and recently updated the bios from the original, which was 1002 version, to an updated version 1016.

Since doing this update the mobo wont seem to let me up the voltage for my cpu as much - before when i left the setting on auto it booted up everytime with a voltage of 1.584v/1.6v, and it ran fine, but since it now boots up at 1.54 and wont let me increase the voltage anywhere near to what it used to be?

This is causing a problem as it seems to have made my cpu more unstable than what it was originally!

Is this a common fault/problem?

Suggestions anyone... should i revert back to the original bios?

thanks in advance

isnt bios 1017 the latest version for that board?

did you get prompted to restart when u updated the bios?

have you tried loading defaults?

hi mate, the latest is 1017 but that is a beta version, so i went for the 1016 version.

yes i restarted and everything afterwards - it runs fine until i try and up the volts from 1.55 and it just freezes on post?

also how do you load the default bios, iv found you cant flash an older version from windows
