dont bother, i've got the 8800 GTX and it wont play anything nowadays
The settings they went for was minimum FPS at least 30, and average somehwere in 40-60. So if you are willing to accept less than 30fps minimum, you could up the settings somewhat, but it's not going to be as pretty as a more powerful card could provide.True to DICE's word, the GeForce 8800 GT does indeed play Battlefield 3, though at a humble resolution of 1280 x 1024 and at Low Quality settings.
Thanks for the thoughts guys. I think I might wait until I get a GTX 570 before embarking on BF3 on PC.
