Now let me say i'm not a big fan of very spicy food or stuff that burns i like korma and masala and thats about it. Now i seen this chilli'sreduced in the supermarket for 10P for 20 so thought i might be able to use them in moderation in some food.

Well curiosity got the better off me and i ate one raw, All i will say is never again my tongue is swollen and my throat and belly hurts like a *****

That is all just thought i'd share my non manliness lol
 
They aren't in that hot... in comparison to others... Not saying I'd eat one.

:D I love using them in meals but have yet to eat one raw :eek:

Have lost count of the times i've thought i'd washed my hands, only to rub my eye or go for a pee. Not fun!
 
It's the pith between the fruit and the seed. That's where the capsicum is most concentrated.

People often say the chilli isn't as hot if they deseed it. What they actually do is remove the pith too.

You should check out the Chilli growing thread for some seriously manly heat levels :p
 
Is it the seeds that give off all the heat or the chilli itself.

i'm not taking the seeds out of one to try it so i'll let you tell me :)

Mainly the seeds. I use birdeye chilli peppers when cooking some Chinese dishes, usually take the seeds out and cut the chilli up. I take the seeds out because my girlfriend doesn't, and I find the dish waaay too spicy when she cooks it!

edit/ looks like someone knows better than me, either that or he's taking the pith :p

Fine chopped some of them, mix with Feta cheese, olive oil and a little bit of chili powder and you have a lovely spread/dip =D
 
yeah i could do with some ideas as to what to do with the other 19 i have lol.

don't want to waste them even if they were only 10p
 
I ate one raw once for a dare.

NEVeR EVER EVER AGAIN!!!

i was in agony and couldnt stop drinking water for at least 20 minutes. I must have drank at least 10 pints of water in 5 minutes
 
will there be any consequences at number 2 time 2morrow after eating just one?

@stoke1863 i feel your pain lol

also any ideas how i could somehow use these up in a meal without it being ridiculously hot
