Been a while since I posted, was out of the game all of last year due to my ankle op being a bit of a mess hence not be aboe to get out much.

Any road up, done a few shows and also started shooting a local MTB race called the Beastway, first week it was dire due to rain/mud and terrible light, I'm not used to shooting action sports with a flash so I wasn't overlay happy with the pics, but this week was blazing sun and a great time.

Enjoy

The rest and last weeks can be found at www.rcphotographic.co.uk if you get the urge.

Images are currently still uploading for the next 30-40 mins so some more will appear in the gallery.

I like them. Very good work. I can't figure out if I like the dof in the first one. It looks like the hyperfocal distance is too far, but I think it actually works, and help draw the eye in. Third one is great too. :)

That bloke with the blue top on is the spitting image of a chap in work. Wonder if it's him :p

Anyway, the first one looks odd with the focus starting a third of the way into the picture. It's got a weird falseness feel about it, like the fake tilt shift photos.

Similar thing with the second one. I think it looks odd because it's been captured so sharply. It looks like there's no motion at all, which takes something away from the photo considering the subject.

I like the last one. Nice lighting and focus for my tastes. I'd crop a little off the left though I think (not tried it, so could be wrong). Okay, I've started over thinking it now, but possibly crop out the person off picture to the right first. That might work.

I'm going to leave this alone now or my brain will rebel and shut down for the night :D
