Well one of our bundles will be a 4790k, gigabyte Z97 SOC Force, 8GB 2133 RAM, 850W PSU and 780Ti with £200 discount, making it around £700 all in. BLOODY SILLY PRICE!!

If you go to buy those items now you will see at normal yet very competitive prices your looking at around £950 nearly.

P.S. Any preview we do in that section will be of the kind where you can actually order!!! So if stock is limited you need to be fast, for example the above bundle is limited to 60 units.

Understood! I know what i'm after. . . just enough bits to get me gaming again. But after the wife talked me into buying a new Sofa yesterday i'm not sure the credit card will be rested enough for a new round of abuse! :-)

Questions & Answers!

Q. What product groups won't be getting discount?
A. Processors, simply because we make no money already on those, but we might do a FREE games promotion. Full systems won't be getting a discount!

Any more questions feel free to ask! :)

While I love shopping at OCUK, You actually expect people to believe that ?

Whether people believe it or not is upto them but it is well known to those who work in the industry that typical margin on a CPU is in the region of 2-6% or they are simply used as a loss leader and sold at cost.

Its like the people who are in the dillusion that think there is 30% margin.

Had my friend offer me a business proposal that he wanted to buy from us at trade and resell on Amazon thinking a trade discount would be like 20-30% when I told him he was smoking crack and any kind of trade discount would more likely be single digits he was all of a sudden no longer interested, LOL.

2-6% is still profit, It's not nothing, Profit is profit :p

Like I said we also have several CPU's we sell at 0% and it stands very true that I can't really offer discounts on items where margin is in the region of 0-6% it would simply be a waste of time knocking £5 or less of say a £100 processor.

Such small discounts are best saved for promotional activities such as This Week Only which is more general discounts.

Ahh ok that part I missed apologies :p

Its fair enough, sometimes the CPU margins drop sub 0% if I've not compensated for higher cost of new landed product due to exchange rates weakening, but at same time when exchange rates improve and I don't change price that works in our favour, so it can swing both ways.

In a perfect world, we'd just sell cables, arctic silver, fans and peripherals as they have much better margins than the component worlds, but you gotta take the bad with the good! :)

Bulk discount, trade discount, and maybe settlement discount for early payment.

I've always worked within the electrical / mechanical industry, but most companies get a nice rebate at the end of the year from the big companies they trade with.

It's all very true. It's an industry I am glad to be out of after 14 years due to no money in it!

I'm looking to build a new system so looking forward to see what these deals bring :D
