Black Ops, did you buy it?

Black Ops not for me,whether it's distributed by Activision (Activision I think) or EA, its just a cynical Christmas cash in. From memory they sacked all the telented guys who ran Infinity Ward who made the decent Call of Duty Games...looking on Gamespot, user reviews mark it around an 8.2, while coincidentally "official" game reviews are around 9, wonder how much the online games reviewers got paid to up the review score?

Call me a cynic :)

Anyway if people want to up the distribution companies quarterly balance sheet, feel free and buy a game that is really an 8, not a 10 outa 10. Still I have bought many dodgy games over the years and learned from my mistakes.

P.s Whats all the crap about degrees? This is about buying Call of Duty!!!

Yes, I purchased it on Steam despite initially leaning against the idea.

I have to say, I quite enjoyed the single player. The story, voice acting, script, etc were solid. The basic shooting mechanic, again, pretty solid. That said, the AI was a bit wonky at times, and, as with MOH, there were a few "unpolished" moments.

I don't have the time to become fully proficient with the multiplayer, since other games and projects tend to grab my attention, but it seems quite good so far.

I'd say about an 8, maybe 8.5 out of 10.
