After numerous years with Blackberry, I decided to leave. Now my new phone arrived the next day and I need to transfer all my contacts etc into outlook. Now the problem I have is the BB will not connect to my laptop. You plug it in via usb and the phone starts charging but Windows shows no sign of a connection in the BB software or even in Windows Vista.
In windows device manager, I see nothing with reference to Blackberry in USB section. I have spent hours going through old posts across different forums and to no avail. From clean uninstall of BB software, upgraded usb drivers/software etc. It used to work no bother and then when I need it most, the bloody thing will not connect.
Now, I came across one post yesterday regarding the connections end of the phone being blocked by the operator and in particular the usb connection used for modem connection.
I know after an hour of upgrading to my new phone with O2, I lost my EDGE connection so couldn't check for email/browse the internet and most of all, my BB would connect via wifi to my home router but got a connection problem when going to browse the net.
Could all my hours trying to fix this is simply down to O2 blocking areas of the phone once my BB tariff had been cancelled?
Cheers for any help given.
