Right I'm trying to help someone setup his BB Curve to send/receive his POP3 email account and as I dont have a device or ever used one I'm not 100%

He has logged on and created a account with http://www.o2email.co.uk/

Added O2 and personal email accounts

Added the PIN/IMEI but then says please register your device with a wireless network? Doesnt it download via gprs/3g?

With his service provider (o2 i assume?) he will need to have Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) added onto his account to allow it.

It could be that they haven't enabled it on his account and that is why.

My guess would be the BIS service is not on your account as previously mentioned.

Do you have the Blackberry icon (looks the same as the picture on the menu key) in the top right corner of your screen, next to the signal indicator?

I'm not near the device and he knows sod all about phones/tech - I'll ask him to contact O2 and they might be able to talk him through and check if he has the BIS.

Is it a GPRS phone? If so, if the gprs is in lower case, then it doesn't have any blackberry service. If it is in caps, it should have a blackberry service enabled.

Ai, just a case of phoning O2 to get them add the BIS service to the number. Should be sorted in minutes.

Once BIS is active, make a blackberry email, then auto forward ya POP email to ya blackberry email, easiest way and works brill, I get my pop email on my berry before it comes to me PC
