* BladeRunner * now showing on iplayer :D

Finally got around to watching this.

It certainly looks amazing, however I found it very badly paced. I did really like the idea behind the story but they could have done so much more with it, I suppose the problem was that they spend allot of time on the visuals and it was about trying to do something amazing. It just seemed very disjointed and like massive sections had been cut out like a book with missing chapters.

I enjoyed it though but I think I was disappointed.

Not a fan to be honest - which is strange coz I thought I'd love it!

Now Day Of The Dead is another matter - count me in!! :D

Hope you caught Dawn of the dead and night of the dead too. :p

Hadn't watched them before but decided to take a punt and they are pretty good.

As for BladeRunner, I haven't seen it before but watched it tonight. Pretty damn good. Falls into the "to dark" catagory with regards to lighting a lot of the time and the end fight scene was just... odd tbh. I loved the music (end credits especially) and the film itself.:)

After watching it I also realise where so many games took their inspiration from, specifically Timesplitters 2 tokyo level, they even had the police noises.:D

Never watched the film before either. Thought it was pretty good, and it was nice to see where some of this industrial/sci fi look started off from (love most of Syd Mead's work)

As for the film , it was allot slower than i was expecting tbh, funny to see a younger Edward James Olmos after watching Battlestar. The fight scenes were pretty weird tbh, especially the final one.

Just a heads up: Blade Runner (The Final Cut, I think) is showing on BBC 2 tonight at 11:05pm and is followed by Dangerous Days: On the Edge of Blade Runner. The iPlayer site has them listed as "coming soon" so they should both be online by this time tomorrow.
