Blank screen after connecting my new GTX460

I will try then :/ I had an old Sapphire PCI-E 16x as well but I really don't know where it is I never needed to use it. I have my old Mobo but its a micro ATX and its not very good. I have very little space in my case. Its not very confortable to do anything with it :/

Is there anything else I can do? Maybe something isin't compatible?

if you can find the old saphire and you know the card works and you still get no picture then you know the problem lies elsewhere.........or try the gigabyte in someone else's machine.........its just a case of trying to eliminate the good parts from the bad

Not sure if you answered this in my last post but can you hear windows booting in so you know that windows is being loaded? I know you can't see it but you should be able to hear it if you've got speakers. If you can hear it then you know its not Ram or PSU and defo not cpu either otherwise you wouldn't even be able to get that far.

Best thing to do, get that old gfx card and plug it in, if it runs then you know where your problem lies.

Where did you buy the gfx card btw?

I can hear it booting as I said. I can't hear the boot bios beep though. I bought it all from OC UK. I dont know if i can find the olg gpu though.

Did you buy it from the shop direct or online? If its online you can return goods within the first week i believe through that Distance Selling Regulation. However if you bought from shop then you're stuck with it unless its faulty but you can send the card back to get tested. Its free testing aswel if you take the card to them directly.

This is a strange sort of suggestion but try not having your monitor plugged in when you boot then plugging it in after booting. If that works set it to the right res and hz and it should work everytime after.

No idea if it is the same issue but my cousin had the same problem and this is what we ended up finding worked.

Not really :/ I did a few tests:

*Checked the GPU by putting it is someone elses PC, result - GPU IS FINE
*Checked the HDD in the same way, esult - HDD IS FINE
*Couldn't put the RAM in the other PC because he has a DDR2 but I tried all of the combinations on my motherboard, Result - RAM COULD POSSIBLY BE FAULTY

Also I realised there is no RAM check beep when the BIOS loads on my PC.

Now I need your help again. I can't contact OC UK online because they don't answer or by phone. Can I send back the RAM and MOBO with a note that I want new ones?

Biasicly it's either the RAM or the Motherboard so I am sending them both back.

You can't really just do that, you need to fill out this form:

Where it Says RMA ENQUIRY.
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/webnote.php

And then wait for a reply via e-mail, they usually answer within 24 hours but sometimes they can take longer. Like i said though you need your Order number aswel from which you bought these items if you are to return them.

No they won't test it if you send it back under the DSR because basically you are saying you no longer want your product and you wish to cancel the contract of purchasing the product. You will get a full refund or direct replacement.
