Domodedovo airport: Blast rocks Moscow's main airport

Moscow's Domodedovo airport - the busiest in the Russian capital - has been rocked by an explosion.

Interfax news agency reports that at least 10 people have been killed in the blast and that dozens more were injured.

Reports suggest a suicide bomber was behind the blast.

Early local media reports suggested the blast may have hit the baggage reclaim area of the international arrivals hall.

From the BeeB, it was just a matter of time before it all came back i guess....

great, world cup 2012 should be, erm, interesting

There isn't a World Cup in 2012? Unless you mean 2014, which is in Brasil.

Guess a lot of people won't be going to the world cup because of this.

WHAT?

So a World Cup, in 8 years time will be affected by this?

South Africa was supposed to be really dangerous and people still went over to that. Stop talking out your bottoms.

Horrible attack. At least 31 people have died.

It's awful news. :(

Death toll has gone up:

Up to 31 people have been killed in an explosion at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport according to the Russian Health Ministry. Some 130 more are said to have been injured in what the Investigative Committee believes to be a terror attack.

20 people are reported to be in grave condition.

I don't even like football.

But yea it is a horrible attack. I was just saying that it will affect some peoples views on going. Even after the years in between.

I very much doubt it. It's a response I first heard from the media about how things like this could affect people's travel fans for sports tournaments. I never see it, nor attendance figures dropping through worries. It's just sensationalism. Do people really expect that any country will be incident free for 8 years?
