Does this really annoy anyone else? I really hate it when I sneeze and someone says 'bless you'. I don't like sneezzing at the best of times but I hate it particularly when I've got a cold so I'm sneezing repeatedly and it's really jarring me, then someone rubs it in with 'bless you'. Ok already, I've been sneezing all day and you've been saying it all day, I don't need telling each time.

Except if you ever ask someone not to say it they get so offended and huffy.

I'm not anti religious or anything, it's just that it's like someone is paying a little bit too much attention to what you're doing. Ok, I sneezed, it's nothing to do with you, it happens, just carry on as if nothing happened please :confused:

It's not like I farted loudly and didn't excuse myself (because then it's ok, probably)

Maybe I'm just being miserable because I'm ill. Tell me it's not just me, OcUK

One thing that does confuse me and sort of annoys me is when someone says their family member has died and someone replies with 'I'm sorry'. I don't understand why they're sorry, they didn't kill them?

Annoys the hell out me. And when they do 'bless you', you're expected to thank them. Firstly, I really can't be arsed, and secondly, it's a bit difficult to do when you've got a load of snot hanging out your nose and your eyes are stinging.

I sneezed in church once, and the vicar said "bless you" I couldn't help but think to myself how nice it was to have someone with the proper credentials issueing it to me for a change
