How many people do it? Does it hurt? Is the free food good?

I'm going on Tuesday :D I'm not really concerned at the pain aspect, I've never really been worried about needles; no im not a smack user :p I'm more complexed about the process!

i have rubbish thin veins - it often takes 2 or 3 goes for one of the nurses to find one that'll work!
men with big arms and fat veins are the easiest and fastest donors - people like me with small arms and weedy veins take ages!

lmao, i can see the veins in my arms so if the nurse misses i will demand a non-retarded nurse! :p

At the moment, no! I probably will seriously consider it when im in a full time secure job, but a few weeks when in education can mean the difference between a fail or pass (well it does for me):)
 
Just did it tonight :D Was well good, and as it was my first time they were like servants for me, they actually brought me drinks, i didn't have to move a muscle :p

definitely doing it again :) The needle was huuuuge :eek: the kind nurse showed me my produce bag afterwards as well :p The most painful bit though was when they pulled off the tape that was keeping the needle in my arm :( oww my arm hairs

The blood i donated can be used in 48hrs from last night, so a week is in reality still too long, however they are old rules, how do they know I don't have aids and hiv (as far as im aware i don't but thats not the point)!

:( i have a bruise like the woman said! She said to apply firm pressure so i did, then stopped, she then said i was silly and should have kept applying firm pressure, and will probably end up with a bruise! i did :( It looks pretty nasty, if i didn't know how i got it i would be scared lmao!
