I joined a gym before Xmas and had my blood pressure taken and it was showing 154/92 with a resting heartbeat of 75bpm. I had done very little exercise up until then. I stuck for a couple of months but broke a leg on holiday and basically have been bedridden for 4 months. I'm back swimming again now and will start to do some cardio stuff from this weekend but today's B.P. was 144/98 and a heartbeat of 92bpm. The guy didn't seem overly concerned and recommended I check it after a month of exercising regularly, but is it worth getting it checked out by my doctor?
