Has my free view box gone up the wall or have sky pulled Sky 3, Sky News & Sky Sports News (which in my opinion is bloody excellent)?

Gutted if they have

Yup, i believe their intention is to offer a subscription service channel with a cut down version of sky movies / one / sport.

Please someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Edit* i dont have freeview, i read about them doing this sometime, i presume thats what happened and your box isn't faulty.

This has been in the pipeline for a while now, if it is just those channels then maybe its finally gone ahead?

Ok thanks for checking guys just went outside to check my aerial and it's hanging half way down my roof lol must have happened last night...

What don't make sense is that all the other channels are working but the 3 sky's are gone

o well gone get one of those bad boy digital aerials might even pick up some new channels :D

That's because you only lost one multiplex — in this case Multiplex C, which just carries the Sky channels, E4+1, UKTV History and a few DAB channels.

Last time I heard, Sky's plans to drop their channels from the Freeview line-up in favour of subscription-based services were rejected :)

Edit:

Sky is to postpone plans to take its channels off Freeview and is considering showing football on Sky One, as part of its strategy to avert a £30m loss in advertising revenue because of its war with Virgin.

Industry sources believe Sky will be forced to shelve plans, in the short term at least, to remove its Sky Three, Sky News and Sky Sports News channels from Freeview, which would wipe another three per cent off Sky Media's impacts.
