Blue and Green Should Never Be Seen?

My favourite colours, but do they clash? I've heard some pretty contrasting stuff about whether they go together or not. Do blue and green clothes work well or not?

I sometimes wear my plain light green combats with a blue sleeved top. Like all colours it'll depend but I generally don't see the problem?

I've also heard the red and green saying, and imo they never look good together no matter what shades they are...

Blue an yellow are meant to be the most highly contrasting colours. It was used on a football or something because combined they are easily visable on a green background (pitch)
