This is my reaction to virtually everything Neon has said in this thread:

Ummmm, yea, whatever.

When your dad bought the car to the recording studio what did John Lennon say about it? Or was he to busy laying down vocals to come and have a look?

OMG you lie......

That button is not broken.

Another thing I don't get, is earlier in thread he stated that his Dad gave the car back because he couldn't be bothered to sell it on for a meagre 5k profit.

Then, in his mega-length 'I've had enough' post he states that his Dad originally bought the car to sell on at a profit, before deciding his son should have it. When said son can't get insurance it then becomes too much hassle to sell.

And from a prominany poster in GD, I wonder how much respect this guy will have lost. Every post is guna be counterd with this being bought up, unless of course, the guy can come back and proove us all wrong.

Seems odd that only the doors and wings were damaged and they wrote off a year old car and I will say that some of this stuff is more confusing than Back To The Future 382, but i'll wait to see the outcome.

It went from a dealer to a bodyshop, £2.5k insurance to £6.5k insurance.

Either the car was stolen or the Kurish bloke is odd!

Lastly, you say that the people who owned the car wanted £550 a day opr something. Seems odd as it was written off, made CAT D and therefore the previous owners insurance would have given them any money owed, and it would have been far more than £8k!

Anyway, i'd love to chat, but I have to sell my Veyron for £2.50 to someone from Glasgow. Apparently he's throwing in a Sponge Bob Square pants lunch box too......well up!

People in GD might not actually find out though, a lot of them stay in GD only.

if i was going to lie like this i would sure as hell make sure it was a better than a 116i.

I even thought about getting an e34 m5 at 20, insurance was 'only' £2500 and car was ~£5000. To be honest i wish i had now :(

Diggin deeper buddy.

right say all you want but why would i start a thread about a bmw 116i its not the best cra. and its not BS so believe all you want.

for me taking a picture next to it. the garage is next to our unit, which i mentioned so itll still be there today.

for the 6.5k quote yes that was one of the quotes other places said i needed to be 19 with 2 years of driving experience a lot of places said this.

one place offered it for 2.5 k but its still a bit steep.

my dad tried for his insurance and could get it for 256 pound. as hes been driving for 30 years.

Right, so youve added together some of what youve said so far, but what about all this sillyness about selling it to get some cash in for a family back home, or your dad buying it and then selling it back, and not for the gross profit to be had on it?

i really dont understand what people mean about me lying ?

i was hammered when i was posting last night. its not an excuse but the thing is im all a bit miffed by it myself to be told ive got a 116i and then find that i havent? best i could try and do if its still there is take a pic with me and the kurdish guy standing infront of it. if its still outside his garage apart from that i dont know!

my dad does developing so for him to make a mere 4k-5k profit he said it isnt worth his while. he might aswell just give back.

hes a grafter but also works in property development, etc

as for the recording studio many of you may have seen my thread about me having to clear a unit out on GD not so long back?

Raymond Lin was one of the replyers. The garage owner is the units at the back of ours.

Furry Muff, but you have to admit (no that you're sober) by re-reading this thread, theres carp all over the place! It may only be a 116, but 18 year olds would kill for a car like that to be all L337 to their mates (only to be overtaken by a GSi nova or something). Why could you not go on your dads insurance? Not strictly 'proper' but a few people do it and get away with it. or Direct Line in your dads name with you as driver and earn your own no claims.

Dad buys car to sell on for profit
Dad then decides to give son car
Dad then decides to give car back as £2.5k is a bit steep for insurance (forgetting about making profit)
Dealer takes said car back even though he was selling it as needed cash.
Said car then becomes a Cat D

My head is hurting just trying to work out all the different stories into 1 bite size chunk

p.s. just a tip for when you buy a real car - get a HPI report so you don't end up buying a damaged/repaired or financed car :p

Edited as I confused myself! :D
