how much did it cost? My 440i is coming up to 50k miles so thinking of having this done

£350+VAT from an official ZF service centre in Glasgow. That was October 2023 though. ZF have a dealer/service centre finder on their website.

Quick question about the insured warranty which I have - the amp in my F23 died last October and was replaced and I just payed the excess. It has just died again, so should this be replaced again without me paying the excess, since it should have a two year warranty? Thanks

I would imagine so, it should be covered by its own warranty that shouldn't need any further excess paying.

Hadn't previously failed due to water ingress (a failure mode on older 3 series due to body plugs behind rear wheels)

After looking at 6 series GT's for ages I've finally made my mind up and put down a deposit on an approved used 2021 540i xDrive M Sport Touring in blue with white leather.

Just thought I better do a quick sanity check in here on the spec as I was a bit concerned that it was made during the Covid shortage but looks to have all the options mainly adaptive LEDs, H/K audio, wireless charging, HUD, comfort access, heated steering wheel and seats, comfort seats, drive recorder, parking assistant plus, 19" 845 wheels.

Mileage is a bit on the high side at 50k but only one owner so guess they've just been driving it up and down the motorway. I'm paying £32k for it.

Sounds like a good choice to me, spec looks primo as well. 50k miles is fine on a 4 year old car IMO.

I'd take that over a 6GT abomination any day.

Ivory leather is a great choice.

Sounds like it has most of the options you'd want, comfort pack, tech+ pack, visibility pack.

Pretty rare car really, not many LCI 540i Touring's around.

Yes that's the blue, it has a wooden trim too so it looks really smart with the ivory leather.
