Just watched this and realised I've seen it before! He doesn't know what he's talking about, stuff like "keeps making power to 8000rpm".... It only produces power to 7500rpm, only the CSL and remapped ECUs keep making power to max be in 8000 or 8300. And he's supposed to have owned one before too?!

It's over 130 in 4th, at least on the S54 engine anyway. 3rd tops out at around 115.
Mines the 7 speed DCT though so the ratios are a bit closer hence the maximum speeds per year are different I’d expect. Also F80 M3 has rev limiter at 7500rpm as well, so slightly lower than yours.

I don’t know what 7th is good for, but at least in stock tune but without an electronic limiter the F80 M3 is good for about 190mph.

Think the point is, we all speed from time to time, when conditions allow.
The big point is we do not film it, then we do not upload it to the internet for the public to see.

I think he is playing a very dangerous game, especially considering that so many people who don't have much better to do have no doubt reported his videos to the police, so I am sure the police are aware and are no doubt collection evidence to make a prosecution, they are probably just biding their time to really set an example that will send a big message.

He is either very brace, very stupid or thinks he will not get caught, but to upload videos that blatantly show racing on UK roads, thinking people are dumb enough to believe its in Germany when its clearly UK, or that maxing out 3rd or even 4th gear in a powerful sport/GT car is under 70mph is just bonkers.

I will be personally amazed if the police don't go knocking on his door at somepoint, if I was him he should calm it down, pull some of the blatant speeding/racing videos down and continue what he is doing as some of his videos are good watches, you don't need to break the law to make a good youtube video or good content. :)

I saw someone flooring it in an almost new M3 today. I think he forgot water is slippery when he got to the roundabout.

Went sideways but not drifting sideways. The sideways where you keep going in the direction you were going, but facing the wrong way :p

Yea he was doing at least 100mph on the straight in the rain. Must have had TC off too.

This is why BMW premiums are higher than everything else :p

I'd hope he's fully insured too. Not only for his own modified car but those he test drives too. I can't imagine genuine insurance that covers 1st party on these heavily modified cars is very cheap to just jump in and drive any of them on a whim.

I'm insured to drive any car fully comprehensive, it was an add-on on my specialist modified car policy.

If I can manage it I'm sure he can. Whether or not he has though is another matter.

I'm not a kill-joy but ... to the degree that these videos, contribute to bad driving standards on my local Cambridgeshire roads,
why don't google clamp down on them, let alone the police prosecute Joe Achiles (a quick google tells me) and the coloured guy ?
must be easy to establish speed from a couple of waypoints and elapsed time - I'm sure the video proceeds would pay for the police time.

probably more road deaths than terrorism deaths in the usa+europe, but google are more concerned by those videos ... and want to make a fast buck anyway

Are you sure that's correct Acme, as technically you can drive a £500,000 supercar and your insurer will pay out for the damage if you crash it.
