Based on this thread am hoping for some good advice on BMW approved warranty options

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=18632154#post18632154

Seems like some significant issues with these cars as they get older and repair bills are very expensive. Had a quick look at the BMW site and seems like lots of options so am looking for some real hands on advice on value of these things and what to go for etc..

Many Thanks !

i have had a e46 325 and now have a e90 325, the only out lay i have had for these cars has been the servicing and tyres, the odd bit of warranty work on the e46, can't remember what tho, on the e90 i have had a faulty oil sensor changed and thats been it.

Thanks Fox, any idea roughly how much do you reckon on 4 year old 318i ?

I saw they do a component based plan as well, if the big issue is with coil/injectors/fuel pumps ? wouldn't it be better value to just warranty these areas ?

It's £550 for the top cover with BMW Emergency Service and Zero Excess, and about £80 less without it.

BMW Emergency Service is full roadside assistance and at home assistance, hire car if yours is broken (Provided by Enterprise, ie seperate to the dealer until you get a loan car from the dealer), hotel and travel costs, etc etc. Also full European cover.

If you don't take Emergency Service you still get recover to the BMW dealer if you are more than half a mile from home.
