NHS counted xmass day and boxing day (sat/sun) as normal days so if you're shifted to work those days then you have to work them standard sat/sun rates.
monday/tue worked out at bank hol rates.
glad I wasn't working either as I'd have felt ripped off.

I was on about giving 4 bank holidays....not whether you have to work or not. The NHS could quite easily given you BH rates on the Sat/Sun and not on the Mon/Tues if it wished. Either way you still got 2 days bank holiday as per your entitlement.

Some firms simply include the entitlement into your Holiday entitlement of 5.6 weeks and ignore bank holidays entirely. This is why people need Unions to protect your T&C's
