Boot performance mode

In the cpu configuration on my bios, I have a setting called Boot performance mode, it has settings as max non-turbo performance, Max battery and Turbo performance. I'm not manually overclocking my system, I'm just using the turbo boost feature on my i7 4790k. Can anyone shed any light on what selection I should choose?

Is this an asus mobo?

I think this is to do with initial PSU in current, useful to tweak when OC'ing. Something I know very little about to be honest.

I'd say the max non-turbo performance sounds like the default, and the Max performance is when OC'ing hard and things need more current to get going.

Now everyone come and correct me....

Yes it is an asus mobo (Gryphon Z97 Armour edition). I was thinking along the same lines as you, but i am also a novice when it comes to overclocking. Thanks for your input though
