Girlfriend bought these speakers for me and they are utterly awful. Something just does not sound right with them. I am sending them back and getting a refund. She spend around £200 for them and so looking to get some for around that or less.

Can anyone reccomend some PC speakers in that price range which are suitable. I will mainly be listening to MP3's.

I have heard the Klipsch are great but wanted to know what people on here reccomend.

Many Thanks.

I have Bose Companion III and I think they sound superb!!!

Maybe its down to your soundcard - sh1te in = sh1te out!!!!

Nope soundcard is fine. The speakers have absolutely no midrange whatsoever and sound as poor as the £5.99 speakers my sister bought from bargain world for her PC.

My soundcard is an onboard jobby its a RealTek AC'97 and has always been fine with my other speakers.

So far the AEGO's are looking the best. I have actually heard these speakers before and they sound amazing. However I am open to suggestions about upgrading the PC speakers set up for an amp and speakers if its not going to be more than £200.

Will I need a new soundcard?
