Bose Wave

Can anyone suggest a better system than the BOSE Wave? The important thing here (apart from the sound quality) is that it be a similar size and shape - in other words, nothing with a big (or even small) speaker stuck either side.

Wouldn't mind shaving a pound or two off the BOSE as well....
