Thats the beauty of a democracy, people are free to buy what they want and are allowed to like what they want. You can taste the difference.

Tap water has gunk added to it and goes through miles of piping of various quality, the point of bottled water fresh from a naturally filtered source is its cleaner and tastes better, which it does, the very cheapest/worst water is just tap water bottled up and resold, but then its probably filtered anyway so saves you the hassle of having a ackward shaped brita filter in the fridge with a fairly small capacity and remembering to keep the thing full all the time so meh.

In all seriousness, the UK has one of the strictest regulated water distribution networks in the world. But your dependent on where your water comes from, up here in Scotland some of the sources are so clean that literally the water is only passed through a screen which filters out microbes and any bits in it and that's it out into supply. That's pretty rare though and the majority are treated to some degree.

I buy bottled water every so often because it's a whole lot easier than trying to find a free publically available water source. I do however tend to re-use the bottles and fill them up with tap water until the next time I forget or the bottle needs replacing.

I always drink tap water, it's extremely rare for me to buy bottled water, unless I'm in a country where you are specifically told not to

I buy bottled water quite a lot. I use it at work, and as you only get those little cups from the machine, it makes perfect sense just to fill a litre bottle up every now and then.

Its also handy when I am at the gym, I can train without any interruptions

No issues with plain tap water. I have a bottle of evian here and tap water really can't tell any difference.

I don't mind either bottles or tap water. I rarely buy bottled water though, we get it free at work in 500ml bottles. I just drink what is to hand.

Water in my brothers house near Bolton is awful, reservoir water.

Water here neat stoke is drawn from a limestone aquifer so it's not so bad, certainly okay cold (shame about the fluoride).

Bottled water at work because it's easier.

buying water while out i can accept, but buying bottles to take home and drink is baffling to me. Understandable in countries where you really cant drink the water but that just isn't the case here

Water here is lovely. Run the tap for a min and you get delicious clear, cold water. Water in London is rank. When you make a cup of tea, there's actually a scum on the top. It' makes me boak.
