What is the name of the panel between the boot lid and roof?
It was a 2p sized area which looks like a huge chip. It is down to the primer but not the bare metal. I may leave it but if I find out the name of the panel I could get a used one
. You can't really see it in the pictures, it is on the edge nearest the boot around 1/5th of the way in from the left hand side of the panel. The panel is pretty much a long rectangle in shape.

As far as I know, that "panel" is part of the main body and can't be replaced (easily).

I'm not entirely sure what the panel name is, I've never come across one before - I don't know if they're replaceable or not.
With regards to it being an import or UK model, does the V5C state when it was imported? If not, then it's a UK model dressed up as a Eunos.

That is fine. I may spray it. I intend to have a go at freshing up the mid flaps and wingmirrors with spray at some point soon.
Not sure what to do about the scrape on the rear arch that isn't in the picture, but it hasn't gone down to bare metal so may leave it. This car has no major rust so that is what matters

i had a J reg red MX5. all was fine until one day i was on the motorway and a stone smashed the rad through the large gap at the front. great little car though. swapped it for a MR2 roadster, same sort of thing just slightly better IMHO.
