Hi all,

So I bought Windows 8 to try out and guess what..... won't install due to an incompatibility issue with Perfect Disk.

So I uninstalled Perfect Disk. Still refusing to install Windows 8 due to the above.

So I run CC cleaner to be sure. No change.

I delete program files for Perfect disk. No change,

I run a cleaner available online specifically for that program. No change.

Can anyone help at all as I am keen to try out Windows 8.

P.S. I am upgrading from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 8 Pro.

Windows 8 install appears to not like it if it sees any versions of Perfect Disk present on the drive whether it's installed or not.

After uninstalling Perfectdisk and providing you don't have any other Raxco products, just delete the Raxco folder manually. (Probably in C:\Program Files\Raxco or C:\Program Files (86)\Raxco.

The Raxco PerfectDisk cleanup tool (http://www.raxco.com/support/tools.aspx) doesn't fix this particular problem but it may help with superfluous registry entries.
