Brake Squeeling noise when turning

Hello all. I've got a 1.6 205 GTi and just recently I've been getting a noise when turning in right at low speed usually.

It sounds like brakes do when they squeak, however I'm not applying the brakes when the noise happens, and my brakes rarely squeak when I do actually use them.

Anybody got any ideas?

Thought the bearings made a knocking noise when they went?

No power steering...

It's only coming from the right front wheel. So am I safe in assuming it's not going to cost the earth to put right?
