Brand new Wd Blue 2tb Drive only 1year 9 months warranty

Just received my new Wd blue 2tb but warranty checkers shows just 1 year nine months warranty and not the the 24 month warranty as advertised.

anyone else had this issue

Most manufacturers work out the warranty based on the manufacture date by default. They usually provide some way of uploading a receipt/invoice that supersede the original date. Can't specifically guide you to this from a WD point-of-view but what you're seeing doesn't sound out of the ordinary.
